(NLDO) – Hollywood star Gene Hackman, 95 years old, and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, 63 years old, were found dead at their home in the US.
Western media reported on February 27 the sudden death of Gene Hackman and his wife. Both were found dead with their pet dog.

Police did not provide a cause or time of death for the couple, but media reports said there was no foul play.
Gene Hackman was born in 1930 and began his career in 1959 by joining the Pasadena Playhouse. He later appeared in many films: “The French Connection”, “Unforgiven”, “Bonnie and Clyde”, “I Never Sang for My Father”, “Mississippi Burning” and most notably, the film Enemy of the States with Will Smith.
After decades in the profession, he received two Oscars, two BAFTAs, four Golden Globes… In 2004, Gene Hackman stopped acting and began living in seclusion with his wife Betsy Arakawa.
In 2024, Gene Hackman and his wife were photographed walking out by paparazzi. It was the first time the couple had been seen in public in years.
Gene Hackman divorced his first wife Faye Maltese in 1986 after many years of marriage and three children. In 1991, he married Betsy Arakawa.
