“Blue Bear” rages: Cubs crush Yankees, declare war on MLB!.Y1

July 19, 2025 by mrs a

Wrigley Field – The wind is still whistling in our ears, but this time, it carries the echo of a proud message: The Cubs are back – not to play for fun, but to fight for glory.

In a match that was likened to “a battle between two generations”, the Chicago Cubs made the whole league pay attention when they defeated the New York Yankees with a performance that could not be more perfect.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, a rising young talent, not only silenced Yankee Stadium with a terrifying triple in the third inning but also destroyed the pride of the Bronx Bombers with two top saves in the outfield.

“I don’t care who they are, Yankees or anyone else, the Cubs are the winning team today.” – PCA said after the match, his eyes could not hide the fire of youth.

Not a veteran ace, not a famous star. Shota Imanaga, who was once doubted because of his NPB (Japanese baseball) background, gave the Yankees nightmares with 6 blank innings, allowing only 3 hits and not allowing a single run.

In a game that was called “the epic of the underdog,” Shota proved: Consistency and desire can crush statistics.

“They call me a foreign player. I call it motivation,” Shota shared in a mix of English and Japanese, drawing applause from reporters.

After the game, there were no more modest words. The Cubs were unanimous in affirming: “We are no longer a rebuilding team. We are a contender.”

Even the always reserved manager Craig Counsell said in a press conference:

“This is more than a victory – it is a message to the entire American League: Watch out.”

While Yankees fans were disappointed by the Judge-Soto-Rizzo mismatch, the Cubs felt as if they had just been injected with a huge dose of adrenaline.

This win was not just a W, but a declaration of war, a slap in the face to all doubts that the Cubs were just a team “trying to survive each season”.

Expert opinion: Cubs have crossed the psychological boundary
ESPN commented:
“This victory is a psychological lever that can help the Cubs become the most feared ‘dark horse’ team in the league. If Crow-Armstrong continues to break through, Shota maintains his form, and Suzuki keeps the fire – prepare for an earthquake from the North of Chicago.”

In a league where the big names always overwhelm the “little bears”, the Chicago Cubs are rewriting their story with sweat, risk and a “nothing to lose” spirit.

Next game, look them in the eye and say, “Cubs? Just average.”
Because chances are – right then – you’ll find yourself walking off the field in defeat.

Quote from the Cubs locker room after the Yankees win:
“This is not just a win. This is the beginning.”
