The social media comedian, remembered for his fluffy beard and hilarious reactions to people eating food, had over 2.5 million followers on TikTok.
TikTok comedian John Crawley, better known to fans as “KingBeardX,” has died at the age of 47.
Crawley, instantly recognizable for his fluffy beard and hilarious reactions to food videos, built a massive following on TikTok and Instagram, amassing more than 3.5 million fans across platforms.
According to a GoFundMe page created by his friend and former podcast cohost Anthony Caruso, Crawley had been hospitalized at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss., about two weeks before his death after experiencing severe breathing difficulties. His condition was described as “quite unstable,” leading to his admission to the ICU. With no health insurance, his family launched the fundraiser to help cover mounting medical bills.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, Caruso confirmed on the GoFundMe page that Crawley had passed away the day before.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported the fundraiser so far,” Caruso wrote. “His mother … told me to thank you all. The fundraiser will continue to help cover funeral expenses and support John’s mother.”
Tributes quickly poured in on Crawley’s obituary page with Glenfield Funeral Home, where friends, family, and fans remembered the internet star for the joy and laughter he spread—both on screen and in real life.
