It was yet another game that made everyone scratch their heads on how they could sleep on Bo Nix coming out of the 2024 NFL Draft. One team that took a quarterback over Nix was the Atlanta Falcons, who Nix properly dismantled in dominant fashion in a 38-6 throttling on Sunday.
Nix posted one of the best stat lines we have seen out of a rookie thus far this season, completing 28 passes on 33 attempts for 307 yards and 4 passing touchdowns as he absolutely tore up the Atlanta secondary. Nix looked like a completely different quarterback from week one and made one elite-level pass after another. Nix looked like every bit the quarterback we saw at Oregon, conducting a symphony of offense and using his legs to help fuel a dominant passing performance.
The Broncos have proven to be legitimate playoff contenders behind the arm of their rookie, who has transformed this offense from what it was the season prior. If Nix continues to drop elite performances, he could even leapfrog Jayden Daniels for the top offensive rookie on the year. Sean Payton has surprised everyone once again and taken Nix’s game truly to the next level.
